What precautions are you taking for COVID-19
At Game OVR we have always taken the cleanliness and safety very seriously. Please visit our COVID-19 information page for details on the safety measures we have in place.
Why is virtual reality for me?
Virtual reality or VR is so versatile that there is something for everyone to experience and enjoy. Not a gamer? No problem! We have a wide assortment of options in our library including interactive videos, and artistic programs. If you are unsure, come talk to us and we can offer a demo to show how amazing it really is.
Can I test it out first?
For sure! We can set you up with a 5 minute demo.
Can I share my headset (and hour) with a friend?
Our standard stations are not shareable, but we do offer a private deluxe room that comes equipped with a TV, sound system, and couches to make a comfortable experience sharing VR.
Can my friends and I play games together?
For sure! We have a great selection of multiplayer games, as well as VR escape rooms for you and your friends to enjoy! Check them out here.
Is there an age/height limit?
We recommend that VR gamers be at least 6 years old and at least 1.11m (44") tall to have the best experience possible. We do require an adult to be present if there are any minors left outside a headset or if any of the players are under 8 years old. For our free roam, we recommend ages 10+ due to the extra equipment required.
Can I bring my students for a school field trip?
Of course! We would love to have you guys! Take a look at the assortment of educational games we have to offer. We have developed fun, memorable, and educational experiences tailored to the curriculum for grades 3 and up. Call us for details
Can you host birthday parties and/or corporate events?
You bet! We now have 2 party rooms, which can be combined into one large room for bigger groups. Our great selection of multiplayer games and VR escape rooms are perfect for any group. Check out our Parties and Team Building pages to learn more.
How early should I show up before my experience starts?
We recommend showing up at least 15 minutes before your time slot to maximize your playing time. This gives you time to sign our waiver, learn how to use the system, and take a look at our massive game library.
What if I need to cancel?
Due to COVID-19, we have relaxed our cancellation policy to ensure our guests don't show up ill. For standard bookings, we require 3 hours notice to reschedule, or 24 hours notice for a refund. For Party bookings, we require 3 days notice to reschedule and 7 days notice for a refund.
Can I play with glasses?
You bet! Our VR headsets are designed to accommodate nearly all sizes and shapes of glasses. Be aware some prescriptions like bifocals don't work well with VR, and we recommend contacts if possible.
What should I wear?
In winter make sure you bring indoor shoes so you have something dry and comfortable to play in. You can wear whatever you like, but we recommend comfortable clothes. Some of our experiences can work up quite a sweat!
Are there any physical limitations that would prevent me from enjoying my experience?
Our VR systems offer a full-body experience, but some games can be played sitting down or only require the ability to look around with some head movement. We are more than happy to help you select an experience for whatever your needs are.
Can I use my own Steam account?
Of course! Just give us a heads up so we can log out of the store accounts. We recommend that you show up at least 20 minutes prior to your time slot so that you get your full hour to play.
Do you sell gift certificates?
We do! You can buy them in person or we can send you a digital copy by email if you pay by credit card over the phone.
What is your cancellation policy?
For regular bookings:
-24 hours to cancel and receive a refund.
-3 hours to reschedule your booking to a later time or receive store credit.
-3 hours to reduce the number of guests
For Party bookings:
-7 days to cancel the entire party and receive a refund.
-3 days to reschedule the entire party to another date
-3 hours to reduce the number of guests and receive a refund or store credit.
