Today Google is celebrating Junko Tabei the 36th person to climb MountEverest & the first woman to do so even though that wasn't what she wanted people to remember her by. Junko didn't stop there, she was also the first woman to conquer the 7 Summits. Mountaineering isn't without its dangers, climbing Everest she almost died because of an Avalanche but she crawled up partway after being rescued by Sherpa guides.
Junko was an amazing person who lived life to the fullest and will be remembered for her perseverance, her will to never give up and her reminder to us all to keep on our Quest.
